The NAWEA/WindTech 2024 Conference will be held in person Oct. 30–Nov. 1, 2024, at Rutgers University, New Jersey, with additional programming Oct. 28-29, 2024. The conference will bring together wind energy students, faculty members, researchers, industry, governmental, and nongovernmental representatives from around the world. |

Technical and Social Program of the Conference Week
The all–inclusive event period is Oct. 28 (Monday)–Nov. 1 (Friday), 2024.
The main conference will take place Oct. 30 (Wednesday)–Nov. 1 (Friday), 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Side events will be on various Rutgers–New Brunswick locations (College Ave. and Busch campuses). Professional side events include: Software workshops hosted by NREL (e.g., OpenFAST, WOMBAT, HOPP, FLORIS, etc.), a Graduate Student Symposium, (open to undergraduate researchers,) and professional meetings for IEA, NAWEA, and professional societies. |

Theme
The 2024 theme of the conference centers on a future where high levels of wind energy deployment meet the needs of a grid dominated by renewables. The conference will feature the latest research to integrate wind with solar, marine hydrokinetic, storage, and other renewables into the complex and highly interdependent energy system of the future and address the social and environmental issues at the core of such an expansion. All of the “Grand Challenges” of wind energy will be included: the social, environmental, grid integrations, plant optimization, turbine technology, and atmospheric/ocean science aspects of wind as a foundation of the energy system of the future. |

Abstracts
Those interested in presenting their research at the conference will need to submit a two- to three-page abstract for review and can select consideration for a podium or poster presentation. The Scientific Committee will review the abstracts and set the speaking and poster agendas. Some tracks will have multiple sessions. |

Publication
The journal Wind Energy Science will host a special issue on the NAWEA/WindTech 2024 Conference with a reduced publication fee. Authors interested in publishing in the special issue will be required to submit a full paper a week after the conference. Final publication will be subject to the full journal review process. Authors will be responsible for the publication fees. |
